To start a good day...

... you could eat cake for breakfast.
In fact, this cake is actually a great breakfast - I just used blueberries instead of raspberries. Everybody loved it.

The rest of the morning was pretty quiet, we read books, played puzzles, Greta went for a short walk outside, we played with the paper dolls, had a good fish soup, sent daddy to work, again, cleaned the house, had a tantrum... after which Greta hugged me and fell asleep.

Now we are having a nice evening all together, but the next week is yet another of those crazy weeks. Santiago leaves at 3am tonight for an emergency offshore trip, but thanks to my dear neighbours that will  help me to take Greta to the kindergarten and me to work (and back) in the next couple of days. The tennis meeting movet to my place. Enough food for Greta and me in the fridge for these days. And I walk pretty fine without crutches now. So we will be just fine, everything looks to be prepared.

Another newborn present

There is another newborn expected in October, with unreveiled gender. Does this cute little white bonnet loke a good present?

Long time, no see

I know I did not write any post for more than a week now, and I am very sorry about it. Meanwhile, I was extremely inspired at work, so I am enjoying it while it lasts. My leg is much better, tomorrow I am going to a check up. Also I found a great autumn in-between seasons jacket that arrived today. I love it, it is dark blue and it looks pretty on me. I am happy!

Saturday

We had a great day visiting a party at Greta's friends house, where Greta also had a chance to get a ballet costume. She starts the next week. Meanwhile, Santiag was being the fisherman and brought a lot of fish for dinner. Mmmmmmm! He also loved the activity itself, so I hope it was not the last time.

The morning

1. Santiago left at 7am for his fishing trip.
2. Greta took me for a walk, which was nice. I am getting used to my ankle support shoe. Still on crutches though, of course.
3. Now I rest on the sofa while Greta eats her morning waffle with chocolate sauce, all by herself :)

My new shoe

Today was the day when my cast was remover. It felt strange, but now I get to air my foot from time to time. Now I get to wear the ankle support shoe for 6 weeks. Today, and then every 2 weeks, the foot is turned more upwards to stretch the tendon. It hurts a bit, yes, but it is what it is.

The flower blanket

Tonight a finished another project - the crocheted blanket. I guess I could have continued working on it a bit longer, but crocheting just makes me impatient, as the opposite to knitting. Greta loves it, anyway :)
I should definitely take better pictures...

Continuing knitting presents

This was a nice project. I learnt double knitting - two layers at the same time. Great, I think. Sorry for bad pics, really poor light tonight :) This is the cotton potholder in Blue Sky Alpacas. I followed this pattern.
This could make a great present, right?

The bear-park

We had the trip to the bear park planned for today, and we were so lucky with the weather, it could not have been better. After a couple of hours of driving, we were there.

I can't say Greta really loved the bears. Actually, she was asking to see the ladybugs! But she did enjoy mostly the goats and the sheeps.

Before heading home, Greta was so lucky that she got a Happy Meal in McDonalds :)

Tusenfryd!

Today we spent the whole day in the amusement park. I still think I have a little baby who is not interested in attractions and so on, but she surprises me. Had a great time, but I must say I am tired.
