The first time in the stroller

It starts to get colder during the nights, so my goal today was take a couple of plants from the outside back inside the house. There it was - the chance for Samuel to try out the stroller we have (Greta used it to sleep the daynap in the kindergarten the first year). Well, Samuel was not really going to sleep anyway, but he tried it for around ten minutes anyway. :-) The plants are inside the house, mission accomplished. I also had another mission - to plant some onion-flowers that is supposed to bloom in spring - but that one will wait until tomorrow.

Meanwhile, he grows:

Yeah, and I don't think the tomatoes enjoy being outside now after the first frost, so they get to ripen inside, too.

Have a good weekend!

16 gram babyhat

The first thing I knit for Samuel, and it did not take more than a day. The hat is knitted according to this pattern, just with smaller (5 mm) needles, in Brooklyn tweed Shelter yarn that I bought in London in march earlier this year. Isn't my baby sweet?

Baby romper for Samuel

The little one is growing fast, already grew out of some of his clothes. Today we made a new romper for him, together, while he snuggled in the wrap. It is a bit big for now, but will be perfect in a couple of weeks, I expect.

Firestation and the first bath

Blogging about our last two days. Yesterday it was an open day at the fire station, lots of fun activities for kids. Greta is extinguishing the "fire".

Today we finally bathed Samuel. We could not quite get used to his sleeping schedule these weeks, so he was not really awake in the evenings. Today he finally got his first bath, being 3 weeks old today. He was a bit shocked in the beginning, but then he got used to it and even enjoyed the warm water.

I think I am getting ill, the temperature goes up so fast, we will see how I feel tomorrow. Have a good start of the week.

Tomato sauce

Yum yum. Many fresh tomatoes, herbs from the garden and roasted garlic fill the kitchen with a nice smell, plus now we have this delicious tomato sauce :-)

From the garden

Meanwhile, I completely forgot that I had tomatoes outside. But they look just fine, so I were snacking on them all day long. And watching this handsome boy )

The weekend

We spent another weekend (actually, 4 days) at the cabin near the sea. No boat trip this time, but the weather were good most of the time, so we were outside as much as we could. Kids get along pretty well, and I enjoy being together with the family.

EC

Turns out Samel also loves EC-ing. He likes to be clean all the time, ald is really good at giving clues about when to go to the toilet (sink, really). So the cloth diapers we have after Greta come really handy and make are a great help with EC. And we really enjoy the process of both being clean and understanding the baby clues.

5 days old

Samuel is 5 days old, and he seems to get bigger every minute. We had a quiet day today, which felt good, we are getting to know each other. Turns out he does not like to lay around alone, not even just ofr sleeping. This gives us a lot of opportunities to spend a lot of time together. But he does like to spend some time on his tummy when awake, and is very eager to try crawling. His legs are so strong that he manages to move some distance. Clever boy!
