Warm autumn days

Before today we had some nice and warm days, perfect for walking in the forest and enjoying the autumn colors. :-)

Climbing without climbing

Today there was an organized event for kids to try climbing. Greta did not want to climb, but it was fun to watch other kids though. But it was fun to use the knife of the wooden sticks and to carve her name on it.






We also had a dessert there, since I made some almond cake and blueberry muffins. Enjoyed the forest and the fresh air before sending Greta to bed.

My little personal record

Today, Greta refused to go for a walk in the forest with me. So I went alone, to train my leg, because I spent the whole day yesterday being lazy! So here I am going to walk my first 1.5 km after the injury. Of course, I took my camera with me, just because lately I use too much iphone for the pictures, and instagram keeps crashing. Anyway, should do more normal photography. The forest looks pretty boring now, late autumn.









This lake. I decided to come closer to take a better picture, but was a bit unlucky, again, and got all the way to the knees in the freezing cold puddle. Good it was just half a km before coming home.

But just to be clear, I am not SO lazy during the weekends, bacause this weekend I did:
- Plan our Rome-weekend.
- Almost finished knitting Greta's sweater.
- Sew a Christmas dress for Greta.
- Made a fish stew for lunch yesterday.
- Made a delicious sweet potato soup for dinner yesterday.
- Ordered a matching shoes for my Christmas dinner party.
- Ordered an alphabet photo-book for Greta on Blurb.
- Made salmon and vegetables for lunch today.
- Made carrot soup with parmesan chips for dinner today.
- Made bake apple dessert now, and going to the kitchen to eat in NOW!

Painting over the autumn leaves

This morning I went for a very short trip to the forest to find some leaves for a morning art time. We put the leaves under the sheet of paper and painted over with some wax crayons. Everybody loved it.




The, of course, Greta needed to go to the forest by herself. It starts to be real cold now, but still, it was worth it. Fresh air, no snow yet, lots of light, wonderful autumn weather.








Greta enjoyed crushing the ice.




And later, we got a visit of our neighbours, with Greta's friend and a tiny wonderful baby.

Where the bear lives

After the dinner tonight, I figured out we would go for a walk in the forest while Santiago was doing the grocery shopping. Greta was so eager to find where the bear lives. I thought of taking some autumn pictures. Greta did finally get dressed, but then there was no light anymore. And we did not find the bear in so dark forest.




Then daddy came home and did not find us. Greta answered the phone, and we ran home. Greta said we would invite the bear for a cup of tea tomorrow.
