I want a white dress, mommy

This was one of the first things Greta said to me this morning. So we had to sew one :-) A very simple one with Ikea fabric for the skirt, and a stretch ribb fabric for the top. Look, now she also loves the knitted doll :-)

We finally hung the world map on the wall! Fun to learn the new things there.

Homemade woolfelt Ipad pocket

An easy-peasy project fot this evening is the woolfelt orange Ipad pocket. I just clipped some woolfelt and saw around. Done. We still use the silicon one when Greta uses the Ipad, and I use the smart cover when I need to put the ipad standing, but I just wanted something cozy for it this time :-)

A maxi dress for the next summer

Yesterday I was the last one to go to bed, because I was sewing a very big dress for Greta. I used this pattern in the smallest size, but still Greta will have to wait until the next summer to wear it. But I like the "flamenco" look of this dress. :-)

The Nora dress for Greta

You know for nice it is to have Easter days off! It is so nice that I was thinking to sew a shirt for me (I love shirts), because Santiago could take care of Greta. But instead, since I did not have any pattern for the shirt, I made another dress for Greta. This time I followed the instructions from this blog (many good ideas there, by the way). And I am very happy with the result. And Greta, you guess! :-) She liked it so much that she did not let me to sew the buttons and to finish the bottom hem of the dress. So I will finish when she is in bed. As always, it is a bit bigger, but it is ok, so it lasts longer.

The day of the sewing machine

Since Santiago was so nice today and took Greta for a walk in the town, I had time to spend with the sewing machine. Now I have made myself this nice purse with Ikea fabric. Looking forward to try it out.

A hooded jacket

Another garment for Greta. This is a hooded wraparound jacket from 2009 summer OTTOBRE. I just have to set the snap buttons on it. I think this will be another part of the birthday present. You see, I really love the concept of handmade presents, especially for children!

The first Tilda

I decided o try to sew a Tilda doll. This one is my first (but I am sure not the last). This is an angel that now lives at my parents'. Love to make presents!

I really missed my sewing machine :-))

The first thing I did after coming back home is to sew a skirt for Greta. A festive skirt. She likes!
(Do not mind her having a pajamas underneath :-)))

Yet another summer dress for Greta. I really enjoyed sewing it, but it will have to wait until summer, anyway. But I know Grta will like it.

Doll panties

I found this ineteresting tutorial this morning about how to make underwear for dolls :-)) I just had to try, since our doll has no underwear. This is very simple to make so we made three panties.

The carnival soon, so I am working on a cat costume. I am lazy this year, so this one will be real simple. Stay tuned and you´ll see

Busy Monday

You know, now I don´t go to work on Monday. And Greta does not go to the kindergarten. What do we do then? Every week we invent different activities, sometimes we even go to the mall to eat ice cream. But I try to keep it simple. We usually have the clean part and the play part. Greta over time involeves herself in the clean part more and more. She tells me where to do the vacuum cleaning, puts things on the shelves, and today she even decided to clean the windows. Oh, yeah. The helmet... she also riges her mini micro at home :-))

The play part is always different, too. It might be a walk in the town, painting, reading, cooking, you name it. Today we played put the bunny to sleep. But we have so many bunnies that they do not fit to the Ikea bed anymore (all together, of course). That is why we made the bunny sleeping bag.

Oh-oh! Looks like I will have to kame another one....

Happy bunnies sleep in couples :-)

(We also have the eat and the sleep part of the day, which is always nice, too. And the swimming pool in the evening. Full package!)

Do I need to say that I love my Mondays now! Good bye the words "Oh... it is Monday again... :-("
