A strawberry girl

I got a message from the kindergarten that they will have soon the fruit and vegetables party and all the kids have to have a fruit or vegetable costume. Knowing Greta and how she does not like all the fancy costumes, I have to be creative and improvise something that she might like. So here is my suggestion: the fabric and the costume. I hope I can show you the finished costume soon!

1.september

Today is the first day of autumn, even though some trees are becoming yellow and red duning the last week already. 6 degrees in the morning, and 25 in the evening. Unedpected showers almost everyday out of the clear sky. Greta got a rose from a political party, and that reminds me that I have to sit and read all those political brochures, because for the forst time in my life I am going to elections. Yes, don´t be surprised :-)

September = skirtember. I found this group on Facebook, and during the month of September I am going to wear mostly skirts and dresses. But since it is cold in the morning, I bought today a mountain of tights to complete the mission.

Quiet...

It seems to be a quiet evening today.

Greta finally went to sleep a bit earlier today, and we are watching a nice movie "Time traveller's wife". Also we are making shopping plans for the weekend, including Ikea and some painting shops. Also, it turns out that our friend can not go to States, so we will not have an iPad soon. So I have to start thinking about an aniversary present.

And it rains again...

Less toys = more time (and space) to play

I am at home today with cough and headache. And it always happens to me that after some time laying in bed, I have to get up and do something. This time was the living room and trying to make it more usable. Since we spend a lot of time in this room, and Greta is always with us, it is inevitable to have toys here too. But I tried to reduce the quantity, so making it easier for her to choose what to play with. Books are not toys, so it is ok that we have lots of them. They are good books, and Greta loves them. One shelf is full of drawing, painting and crafting accessories, another with music instruments, one with stuffed animals (and a big part of them is moved to her bedroom), and one with puzzles of all sorts. And some lego and dolls kitchen in the boxes to the left. And most of the junk is taken out of the tent, it is just a cat, a bear and the spaceman who live there. Oh, yeah, the cat food is there too (plush fish for the plush cat).Whew! Looks like we have more space now.

Tilda fever

It looks like Tilda every time gets more and more of my attention. So I found out that there are lots of books in norwegian about how to sew it, and more. Look, Tone Finnagen is very clever, and how many cool books she has:
