The first time in the stroller

It starts to get colder during the nights, so my goal today was take a couple of plants from the outside back inside the house. There it was - the chance for Samuel to try out the stroller we have (Greta used it to sleep the daynap in the kindergarten the first year). Well, Samuel was not really going to sleep anyway, but he tried it for around ten minutes anyway. :-) The plants are inside the house, mission accomplished. I also had another mission - to plant some onion-flowers that is supposed to bloom in spring - but that one will wait until tomorrow.

Meanwhile, he grows:

Yeah, and I don't think the tomatoes enjoy being outside now after the first frost, so they get to ripen inside, too.

Have a good weekend!

Tomato sauce

Yum yum. Many fresh tomatoes, herbs from the garden and roasted garlic fill the kitchen with a nice smell, plus now we have this delicious tomato sauce :-)

From the garden

Meanwhile, I completely forgot that I had tomatoes outside. But they look just fine, so I were snacking on them all day long. And watching this handsome boy )

Breakfast in the garden

When you don't like anything in the fridge for breakfast, you go outside and pick some raspberries and an apple - breakfast ready. Not many raspberries left though.

This is the herbs garden - basil, oregano, different kinds of mint, dill, thyme, while rucula refused to grow.

The tomatoes finally started getting some color.

And the sweat peas were smart enough to hand on the lemon tree for some support :-)

Have a great Monday.

The garden

This time the pictures are from our garden, not from someone else's. Finally I picked all the berries I could, were almost too late for raspberries.

Tomatoes look good, probably will have more tomatoes from one plant this year than from 10 plants last year :-)

You can see a tiny pepper appear here, too.

And the bonus: delicious chocolate pudding - used this recipe, and it it deliciuos. Look how Greta does not even know such a healthy thing she is eating! :-)

Jazz

The last day of the jazz festival in Kongsberg. I took Greta for a walk in the town, where she got the balloon, the butterfly painted on her face, cotton candy, made a boat and sent it swimming in the fountain. Got also some new funny books from the library.

Back home there was the garden day. Our cat Sofia was really good at posing for the camera today.

The garden looks fine. Already can see some tomatoes and peppers, the vegetables Greta planted are also in good shape.

The strawberries look good.

The redcurrant

Most of the herbs in the herb garden are pretty ready to be consumed now.

Did you have a sunny day?

Our Sunday in pictures

In the forest.
Yellow boots.
Sunny morning.
Singing songs.
While nobody can hear us.
The day completely opposite to yesterday. After a walk in the forest, we had ice cream with strawberries, made veggie soup with all the rests from the fridge, played lego and play-doh, and then got outside.

After lunch we spent some time in the garden, playing and making it look nice, too. We cut the grass, we played with soap bubbles, replanted Greta´s seeds and took care of my avocado tree. The sun lost yesterday came back today, and we enjoyed our time outside.

We also got us some strawberries and planted them in the place where we used to have some flowers years ago. No doubt we love strawberries, today we had them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The garden looks decent now so it feels good to spend every minute there outside. Maybe we will even get some berries this season, too?
There was also an intention to bake a cheesecake, but the only shop that opens on Sundays did not have cheese nor vanilla.
We also played a while on the playground, before the evening snack and a nice snuggle in bed with Greta and a book. It always so difficult not to fall asleep with her there, so soft and warm she is like still a baby.
Good day spent doing simple things. Just things that make us happy, and make us closer. Everything we see around us is so beautiful. It felt like the longest day I ever lived. Just one long day. The weather also knew we needed a beautiful day today to change our batteries for the whole next week. It is still just two of us. That is ok. If the days are like today. Nice not to do anything but have done so many things at the same time.
Have you started your holidays?
Have a good start of the week. Kisses!

Cravings?

This must be something strange related to pregnancy, right? Otherwise, how do you explain that I NEEDED strawberries and guava iced tea at 11pm in our yard?
