Long weekend. Day 1. Gaustatoppen

Gaustatoppen is the highest mountain in the region of Telemark. 1883 moh. On a good day you are supposed to see the sixths part of Norway from the top of it. To the East, the Swedish border, and the southern coastline. Plus north and west :-) But when we went the weather was not so nice, and you know in reality the borders between countries are not painted in red. Anyway, the view is pretty impressive, and it was worth going 6.5 km, from 1200 moh to the top. Greta was fine, although I think it was just a bit too long for her.

The day before there was a bad cloud just on the top of the mountain. Look how beautiful is the moon.
But when we went, in the morning it looked pretty good.
Greta enjoys the backpack carryng
The sky is blue and we continue walking

This is a lake that you can see after walking a few km.
A wider view after a few km.
Santiago is heading to the top!

You cant get lost. All the way up is marked with "T"
Halfway?
Greta decided to have a nap at mommys back.
Looking south-west
So close to the top.
Yes! We did it, and now we are in a small cabin eating our sandwiches and drinking water. Tired, but happy.
This is the cabin from the outside.
You must click on this picture to see it in full size. 360 degrees panorama at the top.
Suddenly, the weather is not so nice anymore and we are heading down now. It is about to start snowing.
